The “Jimi H” solid shampoo is a zero waste and plastic free product, with cardboard packaging that allows you to avoid the use of plastic containers. It can be reused and transformed in a creative way, think about it before sending it for recycling!

Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate: it is a surfactant derived from coconut, used in soaps and hair and skin cleaning products. It endows products with the ability to generate foam, softening and reducing skin dryness without damaging it.

Arrowroot (Maranta Arundinacea): Arrowroot is a perennial herb originally found in South America and known for its starch-rich roots. Arrowroot flour is famous for being gluten free, highly digestible, and having a thickening effect.

White Clay (Kaolinite): It is a white clay, it exerts a strengthening action on oily and brittle hair.

Cocoa Butter: Obtained by hot pressing cocoa beans, its beneficial properties are primarily to protect, nurture, and hydrate. It possesses a high percentage of vitamins and mineral salts.

Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii): Yellow or light green in color and exhibiting a pleasant aroma, shea butter is extracted from the nut of the shea tree. Thanks to its antioxidant and nutritious properties, in dermatology and cosmetics it is used to cure all parts of the body.

Nasturtium Extract (Tropaeolum Majus): Nasturtiums are rich in omega 3, vitamin C and K, iron, calcium, beta-carotene, fiber, and phosphorus. In hair care, it is used for its purifying, revitalizing, and oxygenating properties

Red Clay (Illite): Red clay is a complex mineral efficient in absorbing grease produced by the skin or the scalp. For this reason, in cosmetics it is used as a disinfectant, delicate exfoliant, and as a refreshing tonic for the skin.

Wet the hair well and pass the soap directly on the scalp, leaving the shampoo to act for a few minutes.

For a sustainable shower, always remember to turn off the water tap while soaping up: you can save from 6 to 8 liters of water per minute!

Little foam may be generated during the first wash. We then advise you to massage the skin well, rinse and proceed, if necessary, to a second wash. You will have to get used to this change and understand how much shampoo to use based on the density of your hair.

After shampooing, we recommend using a solid conditioner to nourish and hydrate hair.

Storage: if you want your solid shampoo to last longer, do not leave it in contact with water. Just put it in a soap dish with small holes for the water to come out and, if possible, keep it out of the shower to avoid moisture.

Curiosity: a solid shampoo differs from a liquid shampoo, not only by its shape, by the natural ingredients and by the absence of plastic containers, but also by the pH.

In fact, the pH of the skin is much more acidic than the pH of a solid shampoo; For this reason, sometimes, we can notice that the hair is drier. You can simply balance the pH with a little apple cider vinegar, citric acid, or lemon juice. You will have your own homemade natural conditioner! Be careful with the doses, if you overdo it with the vinegar you can get the opposite effect!

If your hair needs even more hydration, we recommend using the solid conditioner, letting it act for a couple of minutes and then proceeding with the rinse.

Find more: Switching to a natural solid shampoo is a “transition” that requires some time and patience. The hair, in fact, must get used to this change and must be “free” of chemicals (parabens and silicones) that, with the use of conventional shampoos over the years, have remained on the scalp, depriving it of its natural oils.

In principle, it is a subjective change and through the continuous use of natural products a great satisfaction can be obtained.
